As soon as Humanly Possible Please ?

This posting is more of a rant than anything else so I'll keep it short and cute. More and more these days I am being approached by small companies that are in a panic situation to complete a project in REVIT and then learn REVIT at the same time. This because for what ever reason they are not trained or prepared to do the work. The key word here is 'Panic'. The answer is in the training as you would know, and the time is not on the door step of a project. Companies need to look down the road, plan ahead and get properly trained before the 'panic' sets in. I see the days slipping away when you could count on 'parachuting' in last minute 'cleanup' help. The world is'a changing and good REVIT users are in high demand. Plus REVITeers are cooler than most and have busy lives. Just a wee rant and perhaps plant a few training seeds out there somewhere.

I think I'll send this link to the office managers ;) Some people think that we should just get the most amazing gun, full of features and accuracy, shove it into someone's arms and send them to war. We know the outcome if they're not given the opportunity to fire a few test runs BEFORE being put on the battlefield.

Hi Gregory,
I'm a self taught AutoCAD monkey and my current job (photovoltaics) relies heavily on shadow studies. Right now Im rendering at 15 minute intervals and saving the JPEGs to show clients. I'd much rather have an animated sun study. It seems like I should be able to use an add-on or something to do it without resorting to REVIT. If so, do you know how? If not, do you think it would be too hard just to get a "revit bible and a trial copy and learn it to see if I want to actually use/buy Revit? Im not on any deadlines so I do have some time. m

A message to the Google humans and the Google Robots > Unlock my blog !

I have started to post Videos on You Tube. Search for 'CADclip'.

Every Monday I send the same stupid reply message to Google after they send me the same stupid automated apology on behalf of the Google Robots for locking down my blog. It's been 9 weeks since REVIT ROCKS has been locked down wothout warning.

I will get back into blogging as I own www.revitrocks.com anyway but with a different 'non-free' provider that is FOR SURE.

In the mean time if anyone is reading this I have started to post Videos on You Tube. Search for 'CADclip'.

Google Blogger sucks !
