There is a nice model file provided in the 'common' folder of the REVIT Training folders of REVIT. I created a quick animantion below depicting all the basic parts.

Hello all,

This blog has been completely Locked down (no new posts allowed) by the Google robots under suspiscion of spam blogging? I am the author of this blog and have done absolutely nothing wrong.

In the mean time I have created www.revitrocks2.blogspot.com hahaha

This could even be the devious work of a competing blog or web site reporting this site as a spam blogger.

Google provides no meams of contacting them and no way to resolve the problem in the mean time. I've never seen anything like it.

Please be patient as Google plays God with my blog.

A message to the Google humans and the Google Robots > Unlock my blog !

Every Mondy I send the stupid reply message to Google after they send me the same stupid automated apology on behalf of the Google Robots for locking down my blog. It's been 9 weeks. I will get back into blogging as I own www.revitrocks.com anyway but with a different 'non-free' provider that is FOR SURE.

In the mean time if anyone is reading this I have started to post Videos on You Tube. Search for 'CADclip'

I don't know if you can still access this site, but I think that the articles and demos that you post are GREAT. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with the REVIT community at large. I hope you get the site "lockdown" straightened out soon. I noticed that it has been awhile since your last post on the new temporary site. Has that been highjacked also, or have you just been busy?

Again, Keep up the good work.

Thanks Erik, Google has NOT unlocked my blog and has yet to contact me since the unannounced 'lockdown' on Jan 17 2007. Too weird ! Border line creepy. I'll be interested in how long before they pull the plug. I have not updated my temporary blog either because I have moved on to better ways of conveying my knowledge via YouTube. Search for 'CADclip'. I think Google owns YouTube also. Google is out of control and cannot manage it's services. I may get back to blogging some day but when it starts to become too much of chore I simply find other ways : )
They zig . . . I zag.

My main web site is http://www.CADclips.com you can always contact me there.

Very Interesting. Google locks down my blog for blog spamming so I cannot monitor or control it but still allows spammers to place spam in my blog such as the two above comments.

3 months since my blog got locked down with no contact from google !!

Hello Daryl

can you explain how did you construct this animation in Revit ?
Or you did it in some other software?
kindly explain the procedure

I manually created screen captures of the model as I erased each part one by one. Then I compiled all the image files into an annimated gif.
